Awards

  • Vanessa Yvette de la Rosa, Ph.D. Candidate in Project 2, was received an NIEHS KC Donnelley Externship Award in 2012 for her work, “Functional Profiling of Susceptibility Genes”.  The Externship funded her study at Dr. Swenberg’s UNC SRP lab of cellular pathways, including DNA repair, to enhance our understanding of which DNA repair pathways are conserved in response to TCE metabolite toxicity to better understand it’s impact on human health.  She will present her findings at the 2014 NIEHS Annual Meeting, November 12-14, in San Jose, CA.
