UCB SRP Trainees present their findings at the 2025 NIEHS SRP Annual Meeting in College Station, Texas

UCB SRP was well-represented at the NIEHS SRP Meeting hosted by Texas A&M SRP Center in College Station, TX, in December 2025. Dr. Tae Kyoung-Kim (pictured, Project 4) shared a novel strategy to efficiently measure total PFAS which combines a colorimetric Total Oxidizable Precursor (TOP) assay with US EPA Method 1633. Juan Salazar (Project 4) shared his findings and model to improve In Situ Chemical Oxidation of nonionic organic contaminants in complex, real-world sites. Dr. Clare Pace presented the CEC’s spatial analysis of PFAS in drinking water in rural California communities and statewide. Qi Meng (Project 1) reported on prenatal exposures to drinking water contaminants and adverse birth outcomes in a retrospective cohort study in California.
