PFAS Workshop: Translating Research to Policies that Protect Public Health and the Environment

Host: Martyn Smith, Director, UC Berkeley Superfund Research Program.
Goal: Share findings and discuss how they can inform policies to protect public health and the environment in California and EPA Region IX.
Description: We will share recent research findings related to PFAS contamination and discuss how they can be applied to support our stakeholders’ goals in three areas:
- PFAS quantification, breakdown products, and environmental fate and transformation
- Spatial analyses of domestic well households near PFAS sources and source apportionment of PFAS in drinking water
- Immune and other endpoints relevant to the development of regulatory standards for PFAS
Registration is free. Coffee/tea will be provided mid-morning. There will be a lunch break from 12:15 to 1:45 pm but lunch will not be provided.
